Sierra Club Hike: Pastry Conditioning Hike 03-24-12

You really should join the Sierra Club. They do so many fun things and the small membership fee helps them lobby to save this amazing planet we live on.Yesterday I went on the monthly Pastry Conditioning Hike with the Verdugo Hills chapter. We met at The Doctor’s House in Brand Park and then hiked up the fire road and dirt trails.

The Doctor’s House is so named because it was owned and lived in by four different physicians between 1896 and 1914. Silent movie star Nell Shipman lived there from 1917-1920.

After hiking 4 miles with an 800′ elevation gain, we drove over to Kenneth Village for coffee and pastry at Village French Bakery.
